I’m a big fan of 7-Eleven’s corn dog rollers. They’re less greasy and more cornbready than regular corn dogs, but they’re still probably not that great for you. To be honest, it’s probably hard to make a healthy corn dog, but at least with these, you know what you’re putting in them, and it’s a fair bit cheaper.
These corn dog muffins are great for lunch, a snack, or party food. The mix I prefer (Aldi brand) is slightly sweet, just like the ones from 7-Eleven. These are also super simple to make!
Corn Dog Muffins
Cornbread mix of your choice, plus all required ingredients (I prefer Aldi’s, you could also make it from scratch!)
One package hot dogs or cheese dogs
Preheat the oven to the temperature listed on your cornbread box or recipe, and grease your muffin trays. Chop up hot dogs into small pieces. Make the cornbread batter according to the directions, and mix in chopped up hot dogs. Pour into muffin trays and bake according to the directions on the box. Serve plain or with the toppings of your choice. They’re great with mustard, but they’d probably be awesome with a piece of cheese in the middle as well.
